This was incredibly nerve-wracking to watch. I’d have to say that my biggest fear is to be bashed or attacked for being gay in public. I’d rather jump out of a plane a million times before ever going through this verbal and/or physical abuse, even if it was just a test and I knew these guys were safe.

With that being said, this video made me really happy and hopeful that things are starting to change. Tolerance really is starting to become a traditional value and I feel like we’re headed in the right direction.

This story alone is pretty awful and the fact that this shit still goes on in San Francisco, regardless if it happens in North Beach or the Marina, is pretty disturbing. But, the real story is in the comments section.

There’s so much hate and blame being passed back and forth from both sides. Is this really about people needing to mind their own business or is this really about a hate crime?
