Not my dog, but now I really want one!

day one: we had some issues when we first go to the airport, but all was not lost as the person at the check-in counter helped us out pretty quickly and we were on our way. Love recently changed her name so that her first name is now her last name legally, but this wasn’t reflected on the tickets we bought, but it was on her new passport. luckily, the person was really friendly and we were boarding in no time.

we arrived in Mexico City and from the excitement proceeded to the nearest bar. we had about an hour and half until our connecting flight and thought we would kill time by having a few beers and maybe some nachos. at about 10 minutes until boarding, we finally found our way to our gate. but, we were stopped by a security checkpoint. apparently, we were leaving the international terminal and had to board our plane in the domestic terminal. which would mean that we would have to go through immigration and miss our flight. shit. shit. shit. not wanting to miss our flight, i reluctantly headed to immigration and got in line. and from then on, i was just in a very bad mood. i knew that i wanted to get into puerto vallarta that night. i didn’t want to stay our first night on our very tiny vacation at the airport in Mexico City. after a very frustrating experience of trying to find Love’s bag that she checked and finding the right place to buy tickets for that night, we were finally on our way. we arrived in Puerto Vallarta only about an hour off schedule.
