shopping
i really love three-day weekends. but, sometimes when i party too hard and end up spending a day to recover, three-day weekends tend to feel like a normal two-day. i guess, it is better than partying too hard on a normal weekend and having it feel like i have one day off before work starts again.
i woke up nice and early today. i got these gloves and a sweater from my mom for christmas, but they were both too small for me. so, i went over to the mall and returned them. i didn’t really see anything at banana republic that i wanted, so i decided to just look around.
i’m pretty happy with what i came out with. i don’t really like shopping. it frustrates me. i like buying things, don’t get me wrong, but shopping at the mall is torture for me. especially if i don’t find what i want or like. and having to deal with all the kids and people who frequent the mall is just plain annoying.
but luckily, all was not lost.
the gym bag i bought awhile back is just too big. it’s a little large to carry with me daily on the train and stuff in the lockers at 24 hour. it fits, but it’s just big and unnecessary. i was able to find this gym bag which is just the right size. and there’s even a side pocket that opens into the bag itself which is perfect for stuffing your gym shoes in and keeping it separate from my clothes and towels. the only thing i’m not digging about this bag is that it’s a Jordan bag. i’m not exactly a Michael Jordan fan. i’d rather have it not have anything on it at all. but oh well, maybe i could cover it up with patches or something. i also got socks. i need more short socks for the gym. it was buy one, get the second half off.
hot topic was having a sale. hoodies half off! i like GIR.
i like Sublime.
i also decided to head out to Burlington to see if i could get a deal on a new coat. i needed something warm and big, and i was tired of wearing my brown jacket everywhere. so i wanted to something black. i think i scored. it’s pretty warm and simple. i like the way it fits. and you can remove the lining if it gets too warm.
taking brenden’s advice, i picked up this book. i’ve started reading it on the train home. so far, so good. it’s pretty interesting so far, but i’m sure i’ll be writing more on it later.
